The Pyramids and Oasis ...

This is an area on another plane of existance. The pyramid was a tomb where the high priests of a jackal-headed god would be taken after their deaths to go on to the afterlife with the god. Valaria, Lady of Spur, whose home is near the Eternal Maze, was a powerful member of a group of mages who guarded pathways between the planes. Her children were kidnapped and taken to the plane with the pyramid. The Lady of Spur's kids never were recovered and she never closed the way through.
