Description:Hiding is the ability to become and remain unseen in a room.

Who Can Learn It: Everyone can learn hiding.

What It is Supposed to Do: Hide you from view.

What it Does: Slips you into the shadows, away from view.

Activation:

Usefulness (Low Levels): Hiding can be useful at low levels, at times. You will be most successful at low levels in very dark places with very few people around.

Usefulness (Mid-Levels): Moderate. In the mid levels, hiding can be very useful. You will be able to hide in bright areas rather easily and when people are around.

Usefulness (High Levels): After level 30, hiding is incredibly useful. Whether in full daylight or with many, many people watching, you can slip into the shadows.

How to Practice: Commonly, hiding is practiced by finding a dark room with one or more non-violent NPCs or friendly PCs and repeatedly hiding and revealing oneself.

Tips: Practice in the dark. You’ll want to learn a vigor spell or carry many vigor potions, as it is tiring.

Unconfirmed Rumors (May or May Not Be True): Hiding around people with higher PERception is much more difficult.

Notes: (May or May Not Be True): You cannot hide if you are in combat, or if you were recently engaged in combat (you’ll get the message that is staring at you). You need to leave the room and return to hide successfully. If you are practicing with only one other person, you will not gain skill if they are in the shadows while you are hiding.
