Wizard Front End:
Note the Wizard Front End program is a PC only program. If you are currently using a Mac or other OS, you will need to find or download a telnet client written to work on your system. For Macs, we recommend Rapscallion ( see below ).

WIZARD Front End
Version 1.04 is Elder and Mythic Approved.
The story behind Beta 7: Just after the release version of the Wizard was released, Keith Ledbetter invited many people to help him with the next version. In August of 2001, it stopped cold. Though used by many players it is not supported by Dragon's Gate or Mythic.
Concerning Beta 7: Known Bugs:
Do not ever use \p in a trigger unless you wish to die a most painful death. It will crash your Wizard in a most exciting manner.
The highlight strings and names still make duplicates (annoying, but not deadly).
Before you change anything on your Wizard, go to configurations, characters and make a character. You can now swamp between character profiles from that menu. This is best done right as you are changing your characters in game.
Macro Keys: There are "switches" that are of great importance (that \p is a switch that is buggy) When you are in the macro configuration screen, click on help for a list
Highlight strings: See that game window? Select what you want to highlight, then right click on it. Come to copy special. Move it to your highlight strings or names
Game Clients
A number of game clients are available to play Dragon's Gate with. We support standard telnet protocol (any operating system) as well as The Wizard's protocol (Windows only). Choose any client you're comfortable with.

Go to the start menu and go to run.
Type in telnet. When telnet opens type open.
At the (to) type in dgate.mythicgames.net 34283.
It should connect you straight away.
Ayric's ZMud Configuration
(Note: This plug-in is shareware. Please take the time to register the plug-in with Ayric. Directions are in the zipped file for where to send the $5 registration fee)
This file contains several standard triggers for ZMud, such as arrivals and departures. To utilize these simple commands, click on the above link and save the file to your machine, preferably in the ZMud folder. Then open ZMud and Connect to Dragon's Gate, and log into the game. Type at the command prompt #WIN Arrivals and press enter. That will create a window for your Arrivals, which you will want to resize to your preference. Then you need to type at the command prompt #WIN Links, creating a Links window. At this point, Choose from the menu at the top Settings, then Import, then Settings. You will get a browse window in which you need to find the file you downloaded. When you highlight it and press Open, it will bring up another dialog box. The Left side represents the settings in the file you are importing from, while the right represents the settings you currently have. Go through the setting on the left side, making sure to change the drop down box at the bottom left of the dialog from "Classes" through each of the available options to see what is there.
[ Note : Right now there are only settings to import in the Triggers and Macros. More will become available as more submissions are received ]. Highlight each one and press the add button. When you have selected all the settings you wish to import, press the OK Button.
