AATH

TAATH

Overview ...

The deity of hate, fear, and ignorance would definitely qualify as the least friendly of the pantheon of gods. With lots of luck, quite a bit of running, and some general all around good sense, an adventurer just may be able to escape scrutiny from the more fanatical Taathians they are more likely to become a victim at some point in their lifetimes, if not several.

Exactly what hate, fear, and ignorance mean, is left open to wide interpretation for each individual. Some choose to concentrate on the one specific aspect that best fits their character’s persona, while others prefer to be well-rounded bloodthirsty sadists.

Taathian history in Aradath, and especially Spur, is long marked with vicious killers, open warfare, and all around treachery. It is not uncommon for 4 or 5 other temples to band together against the Taathians when they have gathered in force. Various methods have been used by opponents to stop the juggernaut once it starts, including combat, exiles, and diplomacy. In the end, the single greatest enemy of the Taathian temple as an organization is internal strife and disagreements. Turns out Taathians often don’t trust each other anymore than others trust them.

Note: For those who choose to play a Taathian, it is not a license to kill without reason. Blatant PVP for the sake of just killing other characters is a violation of Dgate policy. While the game world leaves lots of room for strife and conflict, there is a marked difference between killing for a purpose and just killing anyone you can because you can. For those on the receiving end, Taathians are nasty individuals. So expect them to behave as such.
